Screens concern me the most. They're taking up quite a big chunk of kids' time, and kids need a slower pace and reflection. We just need to keep creating good, beautiful books and providing kids with stories.
Perhaps the child’s homework should be ‘Parents or an adult / older sibling reading to the little one’. This would save the teachers marking their homework and open up for questions/answers in class.📚 It is certainly possible and would go towards taking us all away from ‘The Screen’!
Thank you for all your good work - your blogs really help 🙏✨👍
Great article! My mom read to me every night when I was little. Bedtime just wasn't complete without at least one story. We had our favorites. I particularly remember her reading "Are You My Mother?" I remember all the little giggles and begging for one more story. I'm so grateful for those days now, as I love to read, I also write and illustrate picture books, too.
